Graphic design is a powerful tool in marketing. Creating compelling content is an indispensable skill set in a variety of industries, and Andrea Simon has the skills, talent and knowledge in spades. Originally from Orchard Park, New York, she is a full-time graduate student, content creator and graphic designer. She has worked professionally as a marketing strategist, brand manager and social entrepreneur producing content and developing strategies for small start-ups and multi-million dollar companies such as Amazon, National Football League, Fanatics, Sephora. and Vistaprint.
Andrea Simon moved to Boston, Massachusetts for her undergraduate studies at Bentley University, where most of her graphic design and marketing background flourished. She designed all promotional content for various Bentley organizations, including the TedX college event. As the chief graphic designer of the university’s internal marketing agency, Andrea also found her true love for sports marketing, where she began working on event production and team marketing campaigns. school sports.
She served as president of Circle K International from 2017 to 2019, the world’s largest collegiate community service organization, where she more than doubled chapter membership and received national recognition for her commitment to the cause. She was also part of Bentley University’s service learning program, where she served as a program manager for two years, volunteering weekly at a local elementary school. Andrea Simon graduated in 2019 with a double specialization in Marketing and Global Studies with minors in Graphic Design, Business Communication and Spanish.
Eventually, she returned to Buffalo and took a job at Buffalo News as a graphic designer. She worked for The Buffalo News from 2019 to 2020, bringing positive value to the company while honing her craft. She then completed the MBA program at the University of Buffalo, hoping to further develop her quantitative skills and business knowledge. “After a few years of working in the creative field, I realized that a lot of people don’t have a business background or even a business degree. I hope to stand out by diversifying my skills. My career goal is to work as a creative director in the sports or fashion industry, ”shared Andrea Simon.
Andrea is always eager to help and is constantly on the lookout for opportunities to work with new clients. She also has her own e-commerce store in Red Bubble, where she sells her designs. When not honing her craft and mastering her chosen medium, she can be seen playing the piano, cooking or cheering on her favorite sports team, the Buffalo Bills. She also frequently documents her life as a college student and frequent traveler, which she proudly posts on her social media platforms.
